A blessed Holy Week to all our Christian friends!
While a big portion of the world’s population goes through this week’s holidays, we’d like to share several games that everyone can quickly pick up and play. There’s a game with a very sweet message that will only take a minute of your time, and really, it’s a (door)able!
We’ve been interviewing many game industry professionals recently, and we highly encourage you to check out our podcasts if you'd like to see what goes into creating the nifty games you play in the cracks of your day.

We hope we made you smile with the ending!
Five game insights we think will pique your interest!

Shiritori
You can play this in real life too, just say the words aloud. Best for long trips!
Shiritori is a word chain game that originates from Japan. While the true Japanese version is a bit more complex than English, since they have three different alphabet systems there, this version is still highly enjoyable and a great game to play if you’re looking to engage yourself just for a bit. There’s a multiplayer version as well, but so far it’s hard to land a match against someone.

Wonderputt
We swear, there are so many ways to add wacky twists to the game of golf.
Wonderputt is an easy-to-understand golfing game with a lot of quirky things in it. While technically you can clear each stage with a hole-in-one, it’s harder than it looks. But if you can, you’ll definitely see that it rewards skill!

OpenGuessr
No potholes? Then it’s definitely not a place in our state.
OpenGuessr is straight up GeoGuessr, but free! If you want to have a go at GeoGuessr but prefer to play without paying anything, this is the alternative you’re looking for. It can get really obscure at times too, as there are roads that look so foreign but end up being in North Carolina or something!

Gridland
An interesting twist to the normal match-3
Gridland plays similarly to many match-3 games you’ve played before, but there are a lot of unique mechanics and gimmicks here that really stand out. We won’t spoil you, it’s best you see for yourself! What’s more, this web game also saves your progress, and you have three available save slots. Neat!

As the Holy Week nears its end, it’s important to maximize your relaxation time and de-stress yourself with things that you truly enjoy. Video games are such an integral part of modern-day entertainment that even old people are avid players of games like Wordle on their phones.
So as you relax this weekend, know that it’s always good to relax a bit with a great game, and with that, we share this quote from Rob Manuel, co-founder of the old B3ta forum board:
“Everyone in their lives has played a video game. We just need to work on the idea that, even out of adolescence, it's okay to still play.”

Have a blessed weekend! Take a gander at our games and relax as you listen to our newest podcast episodes. The most recent one is about a guy who got fired out of nowhere then built games from scratch!

That’s all for this week. See you next Friday!
