With so many different casual games coming out, we tend to forget that some of the most enjoyable ones actually have the simplest of premises, like “Can you say what country this is in ten guesses?”

Introducing GLOBLE: a daily game where you try to guess today’s Mystery Country with the least amount of tries. There are no hints, the only indicator that you’re getting closer to the right answer is the color of the country you just guessed. The redder and hotter the country you typed in, the closer you get to the Mystery Country.

If you want to learn more about that game and its creation, its creator is one of the very first guests we’ve had on our podcast (7th, to be precise!), and you can check out his interview here!

If only traveling around the world is as easy as pointing them out on a map…

Five game insights we think will pique your interest!

First

Flags Quiz
It’s all fun and games ‘til the real obscure European countries start piling in…

Still riding that country guessing high? We’ve got you covered. Flags Quiz is as upfront as it sounds—guess which country the flag belongs to. What makes this web game different from its peers is that it has so many different modes and difficulty settings, so you can get the right experience every time.

Vystery
Oh no, I think we spoiled the answer to today’s mystery!

We’re not done with the guessing games! Vystery is a visual mystery game. You click the circles and dots to slowly pixelate your way to a clearer image and make the correct guess. However, you only get 30 tries, which includes both the clicks and guesses, so make them count!

Tiny Kingdom
Yep, we’re definitely leading the collapse of our society in two weeks.

Tiny Kingdom is probably one of the most charming free-to-play web games we’ve played so far, and we’ve played a lot! It’s as upfront as it sounds: make a tiny kingdom using the building cards you have. You have certain goals to reach, and it’s surprisingly harder than it looks!

Boba Simulator
We do love good Boba tea and a good game, so why not both at the same time?

Boba Simulator is a game that represents the humble beginnings of most striving entrepreneurs: quit a stifling corpo job to start your own business and aim to succeed! Cute, entertaining and moderately challenging, it’s a jolly good time all around.

There are so many hidden gems in the gaming industry just waiting to be found! Beyond the mainstream AAA releases, which have gone stale for a while, there are so many creative games that can tickle your fancy, you just have to look for them.

Most of the best indie games have common traits that can’t be found on most AAA titles now, and those are being fun and relaxing. Modern gamers have become so engrossed in competition that they tend to forget games are meant to be entertaining and de-stressing, not become another source of problems.

And to that, we share this quote from Gyles Brandreth, a British broadcaster, writer and former politician:

“Playing games can contribute to making you happy, perhaps even without therapy.”

March is ending pretty soon, and time does surely fly when you’re not noticing it, so don’t forget to make the most of it all! As for the in-betweens in your busy day-to-day, let our podcasts fill in the background as you relax.
