When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band…

Kidding aside, the game we’re first recommending really does have a marching band. And its title is very apt for this new month.

In any case, spring has officially arrived! This is a fresh time for both nature and games, as there are a lot of new activities to do in and out of your home. If you’re going to go out on a hike or take a stroll somewhere, save our latest podcast episode so you can learn about games while relaxing.

Five game insights we think will pique your interest!

No matter how many springs arrive, Mario will always be a worthwhile game to play. This fan-made Mario game is surprisingly very polished, responsive and tons of fun. Frankly, if we didn’t know it was a fan project, we’d have thought it was some obscure Nintendo release.

Help the cats get their fish in Cat Connection! A very simple and fun platforming game that’s best to play while on a break from work. The challenging part of this game is getting all the stars in each level before getting the fish.

A lot of the younger folk nowadays laud Dark Souls as one of the hardest games of modern times. Keyword: modern times. We swear, there are a lot more difficult games in the older console systems, and Spelunker is one that we personally think is very frustrating.

It’s not hard, it’s just touching a wall immediately kills you! What’s up with that?!

What would you do for the perfect picture? Set a timer? Use a high-end camera? What if the perfect Instagram post needed you to climb an extremely high place for the perfect shot?

Huh? You wouldn’t do that? Me? Nah, I’d Take That Photo.

(Warning: It might be malfunctioning on some web browsers, so keep that in mind.)

The new seasonal cycle begins! We just love spring. It livens up the surroundings through nature, festivals and a lot of other things. In the games industry, spring is also a prime game release window, making it an ideal time to have fun. Almost all farm sim games start in the happy and peppy season of spring!

And as always, Robin Williams, an American actor and comedian, had a witty line to say about that:

“Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!'”

We’ve got a new YouTube video up, check it out! As for that game dev, she’s really peppy and funny, and you’ll feel it when you start watching or hearing the episode!
