Ready for December?

The final month of the year that you can fill with cheer!

The holiday season has begun, and we know you all are now hearing Mariah Carey’s song being played everywhere! Have you prepared your plans for the upcoming weeks? We hope you have because here are December-specific recommendations you can try out for yourself and your loved ones!

Remember those “Spot The Object” kinds of games you’d find in old booklets and game pamphlets? We fondly recall playing some of them when we ordered Happy Meals when we were younger.

Well, those kinds of games are still going strong, and they’re now modern and digital! Try out this free and fun game made especially for this season: Cats Hidden in Christmas! A 100 kitties are waiting to be found, can you catch them all?

Five game insights we think will pique your interest!

First

Alright, we have to admit, free games like Alpine Alpaca always end up eating our time when try playing them for a bit. This game is simple, quirky and dangerously addictive, so we really hope you play this browser game when you’re not doing something because it really will hook you!

Cookies and Christmas go hand-in-hand, and that rings true in this bakery management game! The Game Boy graphics are definitely full of retro appeal, and this game was made to work for actual Game Boys as an actual cartridge too.

Don’t have a Game Boy? Not to worry though, this game is free and is also playable through a web browser!

Santa riding through the sky on his sleigh with his reindeer is great, but you know what’s better? A Santa Claus that SHREDS! Try out Kickflip Santa if you want something fast and festive—bringing joy and cheer with one ollie at a time.

Oh and don’t worry, that website is in Poki, think of it as the Flash and web game central of Europe!

Want to spice things up and try out a December-themed game but with a very different tone? Parasite Eve might be the Christmas crisis you’re looking for. Unfortunately, unless you own a Playstation, PS Vita or emulate it, it’ll be difficult to play the game yourself.

However, the novel which the game is based on, is definitely up for grabs!

There are so many games you can play this holiday season, and it is the peak time for relaxation for many people around the world! However, don’t forget that while video games are fun and enjoyable, nothing beats playing them or sharing the experience with your friends and loved ones.

Hideo Kojima, a legendary figure in video game creation, had this to say about that trail of thought in mind:

“Games shouldn't only be fun. They should teach or spark an interest in other things.”

Holy moly, time flies fast! We’re already our first week in December! Wind down a bit, play a bit of chess puzzles on your phone while listening to our latest podcast episode and relax.
