Becoming a Lemonade Tycoon

The summer’s really bringing the heat now, but you know what this puts into our minds? A cold, refreshing glass of lemonade. Did you know that there used to be an old game about making ridiculous profits from managing a lemonade stand? Its name was Lemonade Tycoon, and it was released back in the early 2000s.

After the great success of lemons back in the early 2000s, came another fruity video game that was truly a cut (pun intended) above the other games being developed during its release. Can you guess what that game is? Hint: There are more than just lemons in this game, and you’re definitely going to splash a lot of fruit juice!

All this talking of playing games about fruits made us crave a fruity drink ourselves! Let’s switch it up and avoid the sugary, carbonated sodas for now and try out this healthy and refreshing citrus drink recipe—you’ll be quite surprised with one of the ingredients, and it really works!

You know who could eat a whole city’s worth of lemons in one gulp? Kirby. And funnily, the creator of Mario envisioned him as yellow as a lemon, instead of the bubblegum pink we all know and love today. There’s actually an interesting story behind Kirby’s origins, and you can learn more about it right here.

Another classic character who likes to eat is Pac-Man. Of course, we all know he likes eating cherries and other fruits, but he also eats “ power pellets”. Interestingly, the power pellets you consume to power up were originally “power cookies”! But in that sense, are the smaller pellets… crumbs?

Ah, lemons and other fruits! Healthy, tasty and surprisingly inspiring! Who knew so many people would incorporate fruits into their games? Interestingly, a lot of them even revolve their primary gameplay mechanics around consuming fruits!
