Any plans for this summer?

Summer’s arrived! That means better weather for get-togethers outside and playing games with some barbecue on the side!

Happy Friday!

We have a special announcement at the end of today’s letter…

But first, do you feel that summer breeze?

As the heat turns up with the full change of seasons, the youth enjoy the much-anticipated summer break, and adults can now go on seasonal getaways and get-togethers. I distinctly remember playing Zelda back in the days on our GameCube during summer break and having a blast with my friends.

I also remember playing a lot of Sega games back then. Sonic was such a household name in the past that I often wonder… what happened to Sega?

Five game insights we think will pique your interest!

First

Of course, it’d be hard to play Wind Waker and other GameCube games now that it’s completely retro and outdated. And if you’re looking for something to play that offers a nice ocean experience with good exploration, don't worry, as there’s a new, blue diving game that’s made for you!

Interestingly enough, many of our podcast guests have mentioned playing this game a lot.

And that game’s Dave the Diver

It wouldn’t be summer without the heat, but that means you’d also feel a bit parched and dehydrated from time to time, even indoors. That’s why it’s important to drink plenty of fluids to keep you going throughout your summer gaming and activities. Try out these ten healthy drinks specifically made for summer refreshment!

Want to play something cozy for your summer break or vacation? Then the critically-acclaimed Stardew Valley might be the game for you. It’s got everything you’d need for fun in a game, like action, farming, lore, great characters… Frankly, you should try it out yourself, and you’ll see why many people highly recommend this game.

Summer would be a waste if you didn’t enjoy the weather outdoors! While it can be difficult to find modern outdoor activities that both young and old can enjoy, there are always the classics to fall back on!

Here are 14 outdoor summer games you can add to your upcoming gathering!

There are different ways to enjoy the summer, indoors or outdoors. But even as generations change and technology creates massive changes to lifestyles and preferences, summer will remain an annual constant for everyone to look forward to.

Some enjoy holing up in their room, blasting the AC and playing the summer away with video games, while others take advantage of the season to go outside, play and socialize  And to that contrast, we share this quote from Ezra Koenig, American musician and singer:

“Some people say video games rot your brain, but I think they work different muscles that maybe you don’t normally use.”
