Where did Uno come from?

How did this card game come to be and when?

Uno—the go-to card game of every group trying to chill.

It’s easy to learn, fun to play, and will always make you say: “I hate Uno!” No matter how annoying it is to lose in this game, you just can’t seem to get yourself to stop playing it, especially when you’ve won even once.
